Thanks! She had been going down for several years with dementia, and she is indeed where she has always looked forward to being now, whole and perfect.

Don't be upset, but I am asking a few people to view your meme and show some love. ONLY BECAUSE I noticed you hardly received any views. Not because I wanna embarrass you. This is important, imv

It could be nice if we would share (as much as we deem prudent) the personal events of our lives. I enjoy seeing that from time to time.

I saw some places where you did that! Thanks!! I usually try to have fun here. I had no idea it would go there, just wanted to share a little. I hope it can inspire people to post good and funny things and encourage people to laugh and love the important people (whom I am now ignoring so I can be here...LOL).

I know it's tough to let someone go. My parents and my wife's parents are all rapidly aging, and her mom has diagnosed dementia and my parents are showing signs. Hugs to you and your family.

I got a Daddy left and he's doing good for his age. Sadly, he lives about 800 miles away, but we like to talk in Google Hangouts and see each other several times a year. Aging is hard on everyone, so hang in there, and reach out when you need it. Hugs!

Yes! He climbed everywhere. I have a couple of others where he's climbed up somewhere, or is climbing, and most of them are taken by his mom. Now he only climbs to clean out the gutters, or roof the house. LOL!

She had a losing battle with dementia for almost 5 years and in the end did not appear to know anyone, and I believe in eternity and resurrection, as did she. Thanks so much for your kindness! Our family appreciates all the good thoughts and prayers.

I'm also very sorry for your loss as well. It's not easy, and I think it will sometime hit me a little harder than it is now. I just know at some level she hated being trapped in the mind and body she had at the end.

Yeah, I hit the jackpot! We had a lot of good times together. Even in her last days her eyes were warm, her smile was wide, and her snow white hair seemed to shine, though she showed no sign of really knowing us, she had peace. She had a natural beauty though she never wore makeup, and she wasn't fancy, but she had good taste and frugal elegance.

You were one of the first people that I had a brief but legit conversation with on here (and possibly the only one who I've noticed actually shares some personal/ real stuff... reminding me that people here are actual real humans).. so felt I should say something. idk exactly what though, I'm bad at this >.<
I guess basically I'm sorry for you and your husband's loss. and upvotes all around!

My mom and Mom Liz were both people who weren't afraid to engage different people and I learned a lot from them. Online can be so brutal, and we can hide. One of the best things we can do for each other here is to share a little bit, and maybe the walls come down. Plus, I don't know what else to do with all these great but weird pictures she took.

I see. and agree (to an extent). My brain is paranoid enough to occasionally entertain the idea that you (probably one of the most "real" people here) aren't actually real..(I don't believe it but I'm just saying.) Anywho.. ya those pics are awesome! ..kinda makes me wonder how likely it'd be that someone might see one of your memes online and recognize the person in them

Oh, I'm real alright. Still feeling my way around this space. I don't think anyone but my husband's sisters would recognize the people, maybe a few of his aunts, but I seriously doubt this would get wide exposure as a meme outside of this site. I kind of picked pictures of people I know that would work, but not so recent that anyone would know them. Maybe someone might recognize my kids' pictures (they're adults now). Most of the pictures of pictures are from far in the past, and are old pics from my parents' collection. I'm the person that gets all the family photos dumped on me, but I don't mind. Anyway, thanks again.

I hope your mom-in-law does good in heaven or hell or wherever she went in the afterlife.
reply
3 ups
LOL...me too. I'm more of a "rest until the resurrection" person myself and am a Christian who does not believe in any kind of a "hell". So I don't know "where" she is, but I think it is better than living in the kind of body and mind she had the last 5 years.

Thanks for your support. I just think that's a person who doesn't have a perspective on what they themselves believe about the afterlife, who knows? But thanks!

When my mother died, it put my life in perspective. The movie "Grumpier Old Men" may have been a comedy, but the father son talk about all there is in life is the experiences. I see it as enriching your life and the life of others. Just like with your picture, it is a great experience. Thanks for sharing this, and sorry for your loss.

The fact that this was even made, let alone that it has been at th e top of the page with over a hundred upvotes shows what an impact she had. It's not about death, it's about the journey you have in the way, and clearly she had an epic one. Hope all is well with her wherever she is now.

Well, I believe in eternity, the resurrection of the dead, and a new creation, but she is blessed wherever her soul has gone in the meantime. I can't say whether a kind of Heaven is "real", but I believe God has a plan. Thanks!
