Roll Safe Think About It Meme | SAME REASON LIBERALS ENJOY FACEBOOK, AND TWITTER. | image tagged in memes, roll safe think about it | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
There's a playground out there for everyone I believe. Can't say I care about the political side, but I rather enjoy being able to make jokes and laugh at things without all the sjw heat. It's good to relax and laugh a little. Or a lot.

Roll Safe Think About It Meme | FACEBOOK CAN BE ANYTHING TO ANYBODY YOU CAN CONTROL WHAT YOU SEE AND WHAT YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE | image tagged in memes, roll safe think about it | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I don't follow Twitter, but Facebook seems to be a place where anyone can find an echo chamber, but most don't cross over to the "dark" side. I was responding to the onslaught of unfunny and similar themed memes here. I don't usually submit political memes myself because I do like funny and clever, and try to be that. One can only scroll past so many until one thinks "where are the smart (conservative or liberal) people's memes"?

Not really. I found a lot of liberal leaning suggestions from face book in my news feed, and the trending news thing. Not to mention "friends" who decided that any friend who does not agree should be attacked then unfriended. But I do agree about the absurdity of what we see here. The memes with nothing real to offer just a post saying something about libtards. I enjoy actual humor no matter who it's making fun of. A good joke always get an upvote from me. I find it especially irritating when some troll thinks they should make non-political meme into something political. I ignore those folks too.

There was talk of imgflip adding a political filter which would allow us to filter out all the political rubbish. I hope they are seriously going to do it because it is getting old around here.

I always unfollow the sites others post which I don't like. I don't think I've been unfriended, but I expect if I posted something political they'd do the same, so there's more control there. And then i get related content to the stuff I don't catch in my feed, not always to my liking. We don't get to hide anything here, unless it's "mature" content.

I don't do enough Facebook anymore to worry about it. The insanity drove me away. I was honestly shocked at the way people began treating each other. No one is off limits for attacks and insults. Family, friends, co-workers, neighbors etc... Dare I say, I have agreed with some and still got slaughtered. I am so turned off by all of it on all sides at this point.

I select "groups" for sharing my political memes. Like minded people. For everything else like keeping in touch with relatives, distant friends, old friends, co workers, etc. I post more general and life related things. The only person I ever unfriended was someone who posted a picture of a monkey when obama was elected. I thought that was beyond the pale. But I have friends of all persuasions, so I try to be diplomatic.

I would mostly avoid posting the politics aside from general remarks. I would comment once in a while on something, but not too often. Just something mild like, " I hope so-and-so doesn't get elected to such-and-such office." That's all you need to stir some people up. I had one "friend" who actually followed me around if I commented on anything public and turned every thing into a political argument. This guy is in his 40's and has never worked, and still lives with his parents. He seriously had nothing better to do but sit at home trying to stir the pot.

I totally agree and let me add that much of it is Russian Bot networks. They backed Drumph cos of his potential to divide the country. They are very conservative and thus all the anti-lib memes. They have thousands of actual human employees. A LOT of them seem to be here at imgflip. They upvote each other and thus dominate the front pages with their agenda. If you get in their "list", they squash all your submissions.
Humor is one of the best therapies, but the average user has been put off due to these troll networks. But that's their objective.
I'm aware that not all pro- conservative/racist/trump memes are from St. Petersburg. But they align so easily, that as an American I would have to rethink my stance, if it were so aligned with a force dedicated to the division, demoralization and destabilization of my county.

Good for you! But some bots are "sleepers", they keep non-political memes for submissions, but rally the Putin bot agenda in comments and with downvotes. Your meme catalog is very funny and creative.

I usually don't submit political memes, but it was starting to get depressing. Nothing really funny or positive or even clever political satire. Could be bots...though.

I used to almost entirely avoid political memes. Then they picked on a friend so I jumped in. Now it's fun again. Except that they use their network to squash my submissions. Oh, and yeah, the front page memes are mostly troll network. But hey other than that, I'm having a great time! LOL!
