No doubt Trump isn't even pretending to care; however the Democrats aren't much if any better. If anything since they do a better job pretending they might be even worse.
So noted... I just now have decent insurance, and I know a lot of people like me who have benefitted. I'm a little worried about Trump undoing that. I agree that the two part system sets itself up to be very manipulated by money interests. I am concerned about measures Trump is taking to roll back Obama era protections of banning certain chemicals, etc...
That insurance might be better than what the GOP has in mind, but not much it was written by the insurance companies and isn't nearly as good as Single Payer with full disclosure to create accountability.
Single payer would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath. Too much money to be hoarded away in offshore accounts by moneyed interests.

Canada has a single payer, yet two tier system. Basic medical is paid for, if you want extra insurance, it's all yours to pay for. If you want procedures that they wont pay for, go to the US and pay out of your own pocket. The second Tier IS the US.
Contrary to propaganda from mainstream media, environmentalists that want to protect the planet from Red Tide or Climate Change aren't "radicals."; The real "Radicals" are the fanatics that want to continue escalating environmental destruction so they can increase short term profit even though it's a matter of time before middle class, and eventually upper class are killed off by this insanity!
