Commemoration vs celebration they are two totally different things. Apparently some folk thought enough of him to erect a statue and commemorate him.

Look I’m no fan of the confederates or the what they stood for but what my point is that our history shouldn’t be dismissed that easily and white washed just because someone doesn’t like it. Maybe you’re right maybe it does belong in a museum but it’s not and it should be learned from no matter where it is, that is the point of learning from ones and others transgressions no? My fear is where does it end? Who’s to say that a few decades from now a statue of Obama is about to be torn down because the locals don’t like the message he stood for, does that make it right? Places and neighborhoods change over time as well as sentiments in those areas, so does that mean that you cater to the minority and tear down a historical figure no matter how benevolent he was to many?

You know the most comical part of all of this is, the very foundations of their beloved demoncrat party were forged by the very people they’re trying to take down now. The southern confederates trying to protect their rights to own and traffic slaves were demoncrats and I guess now they’re ashamed to have that kind of past so they’re trying to erase it and keep future generations of misguided, misinformed, malcontents from finding out just how bad their history really is and how it’s all built on a foundation of lies.

Hey if I had a historical past as terrible as the demoncrats I’d want to make it go away too!! I’m also starting to really really wonder about some of these lib posters... is it me or are the ones calling us “bots” seem to be posting the very same memes or comments on several other pro trump/republican posts?
