Yeah, I get that antifa are nuts, but I don't think "fascist" is the correct term.

I am glad you are against antifa too. Their street violence is unacceptable. I call them fascist due to their leftist leanings (remember fascist were revolutionary socialists organizing themselves along nationalistic line, not class lines like communists), and due to their open violent, non-rationalistic methods of confrontation.

Fascism is innately an ideology that transcends definitions of "left" and "right". Although it's up for debate whether they were more left wing or right wing, their ideology is a mix of elements from both sides of the spectrum. This isn't my opinion. This is established fact. If anyone tries to tell you that fascism was completely 100% left-wing or right-wing, just tell them to actually look it up on someplace that isn't Conservapedia or RationalWiki.

As for being against AntiFa, of course I am. It's okay to disagree with Trump, and it's perfectly fine to hate Nazis, but they go way too far, are extremist and violent, and see Nazis and Trump supporters as one and the same, and see them everywhere.

In short, even though they aren't truly fascist, they're extremist nutjobs who like to hit people, and thus, 'part of the problem' is putting it lightly.

Yes, fascism is not purely left-wing (e.g., nationalism), but I always go back to research I did on Fabian-Socialism in England, 1880's+ (George Bernard Shaw, Sidney & Beatrice Webb, H.G. Wells, Graham Wallas). I was struck by the similarities they had with Italian and French fascism. This was based on first hand readings of their own texts, not summaries of other people. Check it out. You might be surprised by some of their outrageous ideas. Shaw called for "eliminating" people who were not productive for society. Scary stuff.

Fascism means having one person having autocratic rule over his/her country while also restricting people's liberties and freedoms. That doesn't sound like the Antifa to me. And, seriously. KKK members and Neo Nazis don't sound like people who deserve liberties and freedoms to me. Those people promote xenophobia, racism, and genocide. So how is fighting off them a bad thing? Think about it.

The KKK and Neo Nazis are evil trash. Antifa is also trash. They claim that anybody not on the left is a "Nazi," and therefore, an open target for harassment and violence. They went after Candace Owens, and African-American woman for being a "racist" (their exact words). The KKK wore hoods and attacked African-Americans; Antifa wears masks and.... The most evil people in history inflict violent claiming to be morally superior.

Nope, just watching them them in action. I like your attempt at a straw man argument. It's cute. I guess you feel morally superior enough to allow violence in a democratic process. You would have felt right at home in Germany in the last 1920's when both Nazis and communist openly fought in the streets. That didn't work out well for them in the long run.
