She said he was protecting her.....from being scolded for breaking the law.
In hindsight he should've advised her to move the car to deescalate the situation and avoid a potential fine and unwittingly his death.
I'm sure this will become a race issue, a gun control issue, a stand your ground law issue, when what should be talked about is using your head instead of your fists to combat mere words.
Too bad the man was shot and killed. A little practiced humility and his girlfriend and children would be enjoying another day with him.
I bet this is one time people wish a white person had just called the police on a black person so they could bedevil him with a moniker like #parkingspotpete or something of the like.
