The Bering Strait has been the subject of the scientific hypothesis that humans migrated from Asia to North America across a land bridge known as Beringia when lower ocean levels perhaps a result of glaciers locking up vast amounts of water exposed a wide stretch of the sea floor, both at the present strait and in the shallow sea north and south of it. This view of how Paleo-Indians entered America has been the dominant one for several decades and continues to be the most accepted one. So much for the term 100% Native American.

They first arrived at least 15,000 years ago, and some possible evidence of 35,000, if not prior.
The last group, Inuits, arrived 2000 - 6000 yrs ago.

The term Native American is a label given to them by European colonists, not their own. However, given what it means, it's an apt description.

If you were born in the United States, then you are a native born American regardless of race, religion, or creed.

Trump is trying to have that repealed. He doesn't want place of birth to confer citizenship. He wants a permanent stateless underclass so they can lick out the toilets at Trump resorts for no money.

But yeah, it's so awesome there was all that infrastructure there when those horrible Europeans arrived. Welfare... Affirmative Action... Roads... Buildings... Universities... So awesome they could be immigrants instead of settlers that built the country!

You need to do some reading. When the ship arrived with your ancestors, there was somebody watching up on a hill, grousing about "there goes the neighborhood" with these illiterate, violent criminal types coming in and demanding rights and services. Your people climbed the same ladder Trump is trying to burn down.

You're right about one thing, maybe by accident. Immigrants built this country. You can call them settlers if you like, but it's the same thing.

Immigration makes this country stronger, not weaker. And most Americans know this. Just not Trump, whose mother was an illegal - she came on a tourist visa and overstayed.

Settlers go to a place with nothing and build societies. Immigrants go to a fully built country and sometimes benefit it and sometimes leetch off it or get incarcerated.

You can make a case for merit based immigration but illegal immigration costs the US 116 billion a year. And now that the left are courting illegals and pushing immigration as a policy to change demographics and create mass voter blocks that will push socialism, as far as I'm concerned they can ALL get lost.

Other peoples' misery is awfully easy to bear. When your people arrived, someone spat on them. They didn't care about your phony distinction between settlers and immigrants. Somebody somewhere considered your family trash. Guaranteed.
