The Electoral College only applies to Presidential Elections. They have no bearing on any other election. So, voting is very necessary.

Nope. Only a handful of Presidential elections where the popular vote was ignored by the Electoral College.

The Electoral College was established to allow for just that. The founders thought that a charleton could win electors because they did not have access to facts about him. In those days communications outside of one's immediate area were sketchy. Someone in Georgia might not know that someone from New York was run out of a town up there for mischief. But, states wanted their votes to count. So, they started passing laws that required electors to vote for the pwerson receiving the most votes in their state. I used to think that the idea of a person being able to conceal misdeeds of note, until this election.

If you do not think that a Republican prosecutor could not have had a Grand Jury return an indictment if there was a legal basis for one for eny one of their "scandals,", you haven't been paying attention. I know about secrets. I worked for the government much of my life and my late Brother was NSA. People don't go to jail for not being perfect. They have to display an intent to do harm to the United States. It would help if people would learn a little bit about law, instead of buying every crackpot misrepresentation the right wing looney machine spits out. I am trying to think about a case of "insider trading," involving the Clintons. You must be thinking of Whitewater. In insider trading, a person makes money off of information they have privy to concerning a regulated stock or industry. The Clintons invested money in the Whitewater Development. They lost over $150,000 when the swindler took everyone to the cleaners. The Rose Law Firm, Hillary's firm, did routine real estate legal paperwork for Whitewater before it went belly up. That is not insider trading by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, you would have to have a very lively imagination and very little sense to think they broke the law.
