Nevermind the fact that abortion is voluntary, and PP doesn't force anyone to get an abortion, ever. Your comparison makes no sense.
reply

You are completely right. Those babies lined up outside PP themselves just waiting for their chance to be murdered. Totally voluntary
reply

Aaaaand you completely miss the point. Congratulations.

I'll spell it out for you. Abortion is voluntary. Women who choose abortion go to the clinic voluntarily. People from Planned Parenthood don't drag the women into the clinic against their will and force them to terminate their pregnancies.

Get it now?

No, because you are completely ignoring the fact that TWO human beings are involved in each abortion, not just the mother. I know that's probably too complicated for you to understand, but the baby is NOT volunteering to be killed. It's being drug in and slaughtered.
reply

Not too complicated at all, but I appreciate your concern :)

Question: if a woman gets pregnant as a result of being [email protected], should she be allowed to choose abortion as an option?

Using the 0.3% outlier rather than trying to explain the 98.3% that are totally elective just makes you sound ridiculous.
reply
0 ups, 2 replies
No it doesn't, because I'm pointing out a real-world scenario where the woman didn't get pregnant by her own choice, and therefore is under no obligation to continue the pregnancy.

Except you're trying to defend slaughtering the unborn by using the most heart wrenching reason possible, which isn’t the most prevalent reason the unborn are killed. The real reason the unborn are most frequently killed is that their mothers think they are an inconvenience.
reply
0 ups, 2 replies
I never said that was the most prevalent reason abortions happen.

And by the way, saying "Except you're trying to defend slaughtering the unborn by using the most heart wrenching reason possible" is you using the most heart wrenching language possible.

I’m also not making the argument that we should ban all abortions. However I think they should be only legal if the woman was a victim of **pe or incest. Making a woman bear the product of a crime would also, IMO, be evil.

It probably is the most heart wrenching language possible, but we are talking about taking a human life because 98.3% of the time, it’s an inconvenience. You don’t think that’s just a bit evil? Making the argument that all abortion should be legal because of the 0.3% of the cases is like saying all cars should be banned because a small percentage of them crash due to technical malfunctions and kill the drivers.
0 ups
I doubt the percentage of "convenience" abortions is 98.3%. That sounds incredibly unusually high.

I'm glad we at least agree with the **pe and incest part.

She is under no obligation to value the life of another human? Gee, imagine if our society was like that. "This person did me a horrible wrong, so I'm gonna kill a kid"

She is under no obligation to continue a pregnancy that was caused without her consent.

I COULD MAYBE support an abortion in case of **pe, though even that comes dangerously close to eugenics but that is NOT the majority of abortions. Pro-choice is not pro-abortrapebabies, it's pro-abortion in general. Any restrictions on abortion as a form of birth control seems to be absolutely unacceptable to the left. Any time it's brought up as being immoral, people point to these outlying cases and say "SEE! We should be able to get abortions!" while ignoring the millions dead because someone couldn't keep their legs shut and had a freakout when they realized there were consequences. It's no less shameful for a mother to abort her baby than for a father to cut and run; more so in fact, since the father tends to just flee, not KILL the kid.

I agree that **pe cases are not the majority of abortions. Not even close. I never said they were. But it's also not "oh, you just slept around and got pregnant and now you want to use abortion as birth control", either, like many people who oppose abortion want to claim.

Actually, it is. By FAR highest percentages in reasons for having abortion are "unready" "can't afford" "concerned how it would change life" "already have all the kids I want". How is that not using abortion as birth control? If you can't accept that having sex comes with a risk of having a child, you shouldn't be having it. You clearly aren't ready for that responsibility yet. And before you toss off these numbers as propaganda, take a look at the bottom of the page in the bibliography. Most of this comes from govt health data.

When I say birth control I mean used by women who are just being promiscuous and irresponsible.

"Unready," "can't afford," and "already have all the kids I want" could very well be reasons used by married women for having an abortion.
reply

Being married does not suddenly absolve you of your responsibilities. Those women's lives are not in danger. They weren't having unconsensual sex. They had sex and use abortion to avoid the consequences. That is MURDER.

That's my favorite self centered argument that pro abortionists make. It shows just how much they value and take into consideration another humans life.

You should really watch that film I suggested for you. "The Silent Scream" in case you've forgotten. Don't defend what you refuse to learn about.

reply

Unless it's propaganda that supports your position, of course. Why would you watch something that might make you question what you believe? That's unthinkable. You're always right.

I don't object to listening to viewpoints that differ from my own. Heck, I listen to conservative Christian radio every single day. No, what I object to is stuff that is blatantly dishonest and emotionally manipulative.

It lays in the fact I have yet to say what my opinion of abortion is..Only that the topic of abortion and illegal immigrant children are not the same issue and as for these others? I would rather not jump to conclusions than a misspelled word. People who attack misspellings and grammar do so because they lack a sound talking point and it's all they have..
reply

The topic of abortion and illegal immigrant children ARE related, because the outrage over the illegal kids is that they're being harmed through separation. Yet the same people outraged over "hurting" kids think it's fine to kill them.
