The fact that George W. Bush was once advised of limitations on his power and called it "just a go***mned piece of paper" makes me value that underrated "piece of paper"the more.
And it is *not* just a piece of paper. It is a system of values and ideas and ideals that we fail to treasure for their timeless insight and brilliance. Chances are very good that if there's something in there that you think is "archaic", it's worth checking that it's not you. That document contains timeless wisdom and insight into human nature that is often well past the ken of inflated modern egos.
Those intangibles and insights are worth more than gold. We scorn them at our peril.
