I can't find mine, and I'm also missing my degree from the University of Phoenix. I may have to send that university another $150 bucks to get another degree.

That's a lot of money to get a copy a paper! Birth certificates can also be really costly.

It was actually a lame joke from me. The University of Phoenix is known as being a diploma mill. Pick a course of study (don't worry, you won't really be studying), mail them their fee, and you get a diploma. I once stared into space, and got a degree from the University of Phoenix.

HA! I was originally going to post a return joke but than I thought, "What if he's serious..." LOL! I knew a girl who got her "psychology degree" from Caplan University. and another who went to some scam school to be an ultrasound tech. Spent all that money in student loans and still can't get a job in her field!

In reality, I am a retired MIT Computer Scientist. So my degree is very real.

Computer scientist? I have heard of such but I honestly don't know what it entails. What does a computer scientist do? And don't be afraid to dumb it down. LOL

A computer Scientist designs and builds very custom computer systems for very custom applications.Some of these custom computers can have hundreds of processors unending in parallel. My work was in a research laboratory that built very custom stuff for the department of defense.

That's so cool! I have very limited computer knowledge, but I would like my kids to be more knowledgeable. Next school year I plan to start them on some basics and each year work up to bigger things. How many years of college did your field require?

I only had a 4year degree. But most who are in that field have a PhD.
