Must be something new around here? Been off quite a bit lately and looks like a lot of changes. The popular list is different everyday and the #1 template isn't the default. For years when I hit the create button, One Does Not Simply always came up!!!

There were a ton of site upgrades between Nov 17 and Mar 18, they were coming about once or twice a week. I think the changing default template upgrade was born in the comments here. imgflip.com/i/219ymp

So where is the crop feature? I see you can rotate text. And a lot more text options.

If you are starting a meme or meme comment by uploading an image, you can crop it there by dragging the box to what you want to use. Do that before you hit upload.

Also there is a stand alone image cropper tool here: imgflip.com/image-cropper

Ah OK. So only images you upload. Got it.

A little trickier, but you can also do it with existing templates too by using "Add Image". When you add an image inside your starting template, you can stretch the added image corners outside the starting template. When you hit generate, only the portion of the added image that's over the starting template will be included.

BTW my favorite upgrades are being able to rotate captions and being able to rotate added images.

When I make my own templates they are usually final cropped by me anyways. I see the Batman slapping Robin (as well as others) actually start out with the text boxes in the text cloud or where the text should really be. Instead of top/bottom only. Makes it so you don't have to drag text all over. Looks like overall some nice things were done.

In terms of upgrades that enable user creativity, imgflip has never been better than right now (IMO). Now if I just had some meme ideas...

Was a bit tricky. Had to go search for and save the template that popped up, in order to comment with it. Otherwise Distracted Boyfriend just pops up. Totally worth the extra couple seconds, though!

Been away too long. Hit the create button and IMGFLIP throws you a random meme. And since when do you get to the front page with ~30 upvotes?

Yeah, they've been doing that for a few months now. And generally if you're going to make the front page, it only takes about 25 upvotes.
