My rain gauge shows more than 5 inches of rain this week. It wouldn’t be so bad, but it rained every day, including now.

Aww, shucks, you're sweet. :-) It's been really beautiful over here, and I hear it gets more beautiful in the summer, so I can't wait! Only been here about 4 1/2 months, so I'm excited to see the weather.

I just think the typical dream for people to go there don’t dream about panning for gold :-)
I live in Delaware, and there’s no gold rush history here. I was in Alaska in January and stayed very close to a working gold mine! That’s not why I was there, but the dream started to reawaken, lol :-)
I've never been to Delaware. And I've never thought about panning for gold. Although you are right today it is not the typical dream for people for people who come here. But it is good to never let your dreams die. :)

The gold mine was just a coincidence. I was just looking for a place north of Fairbanks to see the aurora and that just happens to be gold country. If I was there in the summer, I could have panned for gold, lol!

And maybe your next trip there should be in the summer. So you can follow your dreams and have fun. No one ever said it hurts to try.
And yes I'm a native, only lived out of state once and didn't like it, snow is not my thing. Here we say if it's under sixty degrees it's cold. :)
