The partition of Palestine into Palestine and Israel after WWII

And the current sovereign State of Palestine declared by the Palestinian Authority, recognized by most nations but suppressed by the Israeli occupation.

Judea/Israel had ceased to exist before nearly all of today's countries came into existence, or even had a written history. So who lived in the area named as a country is irrelevent, especially since regardless of who controlled the area, the people now referred to as Palestinian have been there continously, while Jews - other than many Sephardim, Persian, Ethiopian, and Zimbabwen - have lived in Europe, mixing with them over the last two thousand years.

Palestinian refugees live in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. The Lebanese Civl War was started by Israel trying to chase them even out of there, ostensibly out of concern for it being used as a terrorist base.
