The Buckaroos are legendary in Portland. They're revered like the Portland Mavericks minor league baseball team. The Mavericks played back in the '70s and had Kurt Russell as a player (his dad owned the team) and were noted for playing lots of games hungover, as well as possibly drunk. :D

There was a Portland Beavers AAA team for a couple periods way back. I think the Mavericks were independent league. The Winterhawks are still going and pulling lots of fans. Past players: Cam Neeley, Marion Hossa, Brendon Morrow, (more recently) Seth Jones, Ryan Johansson...
