I love it when people do this to me! So many points

Points are fine I guess, but more importantly I think it shows they respect what you had to say.

I find it annoying when someone notorious for NEVER up voting others, has the gall to post asking for up votes!

I can think of a few that fit that category. It was one of the first things I noticed coming back. I would have the 1st comment on a new submission, then 2 or 3 of the same old usernames would come along behind me, leave an lol, or something equally as lame and never upvote mine or anyone else that had subsequently commented. Personally I get what I need, but its easy to spot the point w**res. I may miss an upvote here or there because I'm moving too fast, but most of the time when I return to answer a reply I catch it. There are a few I refuse to upvote anymore because of this, and I will not comment on their memes even.

I know exactly whet you are talking about! It becomes obvious that they are fishing for points. If I am going to leave nothing more that an indication of having gotten a laugh, I try to make it meaningful. Also, have you ever found that your upvotes of others seem to vanish? I find there are times when I up vote only to have to up vote again later because it didn't stick!

Yes, it's one reason I try to revisit memes where I comment.

I started noticing a trend with certain folks in conversation, or if they were the first or second to comment on a meme that had no up votes yet. I don't feel comfortable calling people out when they do that. I also don't like "asking" for up votes. I figure maybe the new users will eventually get it. But again, if they post a meme asking for up votes then maybe they do get it?

Yeah. Some people are like that. I agree, asking for upvotes directly is bad (thought I have no qualms with subtly doing so like in the above meme!).

HAHA! I do love it when something like that makes into real meme material! At least it's creative and therefore earned the votes! :)
