I am not referring to social media specifically. I mean sites like Etsy, Yahoo, Pintrest, Trulia, Zillow. Just any site where you have had to ever use a username and password to log in and agree to terms of service and privacy policy.

I don't really use too many sites that gather more than a name and password.

They usually also want an email address. Which is why I have a separate email address for those. I can keep my real email spamless.
