+1 for Spidey there. I want one!

This cutie is from India. Bites are non-fatal, but the fangs can go 3/4" deep.

So yes, it would hurt like hell (Metallica must love that part) and the pain could last several months in rare cases.

I knew a guy with a 'regular' tarantula. They can be nice pets *sometimes*. His did not bite.

TBH, I prefer pets that don't require living food though. Like cats and dogs. And fish.

Right on! He’s not deadly though. But he will let you know not to mess with him again!

I kept a spider I found one time at the bottom of a pile of cinder blocks. He was almost as big as the hole in the block. I Put him in my terrarium to be my pet. A friend came over and freaked out when he saw it. Turns out it was a brown recluse. When I killed it I realized it was pregnant. That’s when I learned you don’t keep spiders as pets... X D

I DID know a guy who lost his father to a brown recluse though.

Some spiders might be OK though - if you don't mind being the one to send a living being to a horrible death as its food. I'll pass on that. But I admire their beauty and respect their right to survive,

I don’t mind feeding mice to snakes, but I wouldn’t want one as a pet again. Too much work cleaning the cage, and they stink. I draw the line at spiders. I don’t know what I was thinking back then. It was back in my partying days... ; )
