Sucks don't it! When I was little I would get into that mess and my fingers would swell so bit that I couldn't hold a pencil! And the freaking infernal itch! Did they make you get a shot for it?

Yes.the last time I tried to go fishing.I got it on my ankles and it spread all the way up to my armpits in a few days.

I haven't had poison ivy in about 26 years thankfully. And I can go another 25 without it! If I stand downwind from the stuff, and the wind blows I have been known to catch it that way. Yet my brother can roll around in it and never get a single bit of a rash.

There's a plant called giant hogweed and it's way worse than poison ivy. I think it grows to a height of 8-10ft. and spreads quickly.

I have heard of that! I have never seen it though. That stuff is supposed to be real nasty!

eesh. I've seen the stuff in enormous fields on the sides of the road in Scotland. Nasty business.

I thought it was just where you make direct contact. You must be extra sensitive, which would be scary.

It can be on an old log,that when you burn it,it's in the air,& we can catch it even.

I got grazed by a jellyfish (I think) in Florida, on our honeymoon!

Yes. Quick jab. It got me in my armpit and lucky I'm kinda furry there and I think that helped. My wife wouldn't come in because the water was murky. We walked back to the hotel and they called it in. Paramedics came (with sirens) and was a little embarrassing and of course my wife took pictures. Better safe than sorry though.

Yep! I try to stay out of areas with heavy plant growth. You never know where it could me mixed in!

Funny, someone called me a stalker on Thursday.

I wasn't sure about how it started or why so I just kept my nose out of it!

We all have our own view of imgflip. I'm here to have fun. Besides the abundant laughs, some of the other things I like are knowing/understanding how the site works and answering questions about imgflip if I can. Sometimes people don't like my view.

I too am here for the fun. I will say I think the unnecessarily serious do put a damper on things. I mean, it is just a meme site. I think though if someone doesn't like another's view that's okay, but burning them at the stake for it isn't. I do my best to avoid starting or engaging in drama. And when a political troll tries to start up with me I down vote and avoid further comment. I have never had anyone try to sting me for what they think is a repost. Though I do not take memes and simply repost. I would like to see more honesty in the reposts though. Giving a little credit to the source doesn't hurt.

Yeah. I would LOVE to know more about how this site works. They do not have a FAQ page which would be very handy for us all. I would send feed back but the few times I have done that asking questions I was ignored and did not get a response. I was left wondering. Maybe a meme stream with Q&A posted would benefit the community if they simply do not wish to post a FAQ page. I dunno. Just thinking aloud here.

Sounds like you found the feedback form imgflip.com/feedback or [email protected] email address. I think it's rare that they reply. I do use those to send "wish list" site suggestions and report site bugs, not very often maybe about 4-6 times a year.

RE: FAQ page, I think users starting a wiki would be the best approach to getting that.

There was a user named ghostofchurch that started a community memestream imgflip.com/m/community_based but he deleted it. I restarted that memestream but haven't successfully put all the stuff back that used to be in there.

I like that meme stream since it's on the site already. Though a Wiki may be better organized. I don't even know how to go about making such a page. We'll see. Maybe someone, somewhere would be willing to help make one some day.
