Ya kinda need facts

So what about when consensus changes? Granted, this definition of "fact" is still workable if it becomes detached from the idea of truth and reality.

Of course consensus changes, everything comes from anecdotal evidence, consensus is not fact, we all don't agree about everything, if we did there would be no war lol. Direct first person experience is fact/truth.

Okay, that makes more sense. The definition I usually use for "truth" is "that which accurately describes reality". I would say that truth is found through empirical evidence and logical reasoning, with the two being balanced by Occam's Razor (and of course with first-hand experience being valued over second-hand experience)

That's a good definition, but it can still come in conflict with paradoxes which makes the assumption that say's "something is wrong here" when there's nothing wrong, they're just reaching the limits of rationality/logic, there are things way beyond rationality and logic, and if you've ever taken psychedelics this is utterly clear. Even Occam's Razor has it's flaws, it will help you get what you want (an explanation or an answer) but it still fundamentally denies the whole/big picture. Truth is not an explanation, it's simply observation of empirical data which is always changing, the mind isn't capable of the label maker reality is asking of a human being, reality is too big and too complex, but we try, no doubt about that :)
