Yeah -- that's just the way it is. I reposted on Imgur a handful of my Imgflip memes that each got maybe 30 views on Imgflip and they got several hundred on Imgur.
Several reasons:
1) Imgur was set up specifically to tie in with Reddit. Imgflip isn't.
2) On Imgflip SEEING a meme in Hot or Latest does NOT count as a VIEW. It only counts as a VIEW if someone opens it in a tab or browser window. MOST Imgflip users don't know that--so even if they upvote a meme or share it to a social media site it doesn't count as a VIEW.
3) Imgflip only leaves memes in Latest if they get a good number of VIEWS. So they quickly "fall off Latest", and never get to Hot. They can easily fall off in less than a day.
4) Frankly, over the last few months the QUALITY of memes on Imgflip has gotten REALLY crappy. I can go through 15 screens of Latest and there will be maybe 3-4 memes that are reasonably funny OR contain useful information--such as yours. There has been a huge increase in the number of alt-right memes that are just insults about "libtards" (i.e., "liberal RETARDS"), which just turn people off.
