I was a vegetarian for years. I heard plenty of lame jokes Thankfully my sense of humor allows me to laugh at myself, and lame jokes when appropriate. I also have the sense to tell when someone is being malicious. I will say this also. Vegans are not really the biggest butt of most jokes. But it's still fun to see y'all get all riled up because you take it way too seriously.
