I like to think America has progressed since the Constitution was written and it's no long a bunch of rag tag states clinging to the coast. It's a modern, advanced developed country. I could agree if America was under any threat of invasion to arm the citizens for resistance but that is so unlikely it is more likely Trump will undergo a sex change. The constitution is addressing threats of the 18th century, not the 21st to America's survival.
