I think he's just suggesting you see a meme you like, then copy the link and paste it on a friend's meme or comment. You know how to copy and paste a link don't you?

That’s what I thought he meant and I did try the copy and paste but it stayed black. I know it’s easy but I don’t know what I did wrong??? :-)

Just my opinion, I don't think posting a link to somebody else's creation is necessarily spam, but it could be bad etiquette, depending on how and when it's done.

Posting direct links to your own creations on someone else's meme? That's definitely spam and against the terms. I think that's the pet peeve you might be thinking of.

Some users are ok with getting direct links from other users and want to see what their friends are up to, but personally I try to avoid doing that.

Posting a link to somebody else's particular creation over and over? I would say that's probably spam.

Promoting someone elses meme on your own creation? I would say that's never spam. In fact socrates has done exactly that, many times, kind of along the lines of what Beckett is suggesting. You can find most of those promotions using this tag imgflip.com/tag/favorites

Speaking of helping out fellow memers, are you interested in doing page nine parties again? SoSome of us were thinking about doing one a week from tomorrow.

I think there was some hassle after they starting changing the feature times and it was more of a hassle to keep up. I'd still like to try again ^)

I'll send a request to the mods that they use the old schedule to feature memes at 9pm Eastern on Mondays (just for that hour once a week) I think that would go a long way to help bring Page 9 parties back.

I doubt they will do it, but there is no harm in asking.
