I was just taking a cheap shot at Trump supporters by insinuating that they're not as smart..
That aside, would having the smart people make the big decisions for everyone be the worst idea? It's why the US has a republic instead of a true democracy after all.

We aren't a republic by accident. Smart people feared the (emotional) sway of the electorate's opinion. My favorite retort to arguments for a Parliamentary system are "Mussolini and Hitler." You could throw in Chamberlain and von Hindenburg as well and not weaken the argument...

"Mussolini and Hitler." Is not an argument though maybe you could elaborate.
If you had a complicated medical condition with a choice to make about how to proceed, would you rather the decisions be made by a small body of experienced medical personnel or by a electoral system involving all Americans? This analogy isn't completely parallel, I'm just trying to convey the point of why it is probably better than a true democracy, at least in some if not most cases.

ps I don't know why we got into this. As I stated this meme was just a poke at trump supporters and not an actual advocacy of an IQ based voting system. xD

Just enjoying the dialogue. I think we concur about the wisdom of a republic as opposed to an outright democracy. And I admire how your mind works. It is a pleasure to read your remarks. Why do you assume an antagonism on my part? As to "Hitler and Mussolini" I think it is pretty plain that neither would have come to power if it weren't for the parliamentary form of government. Hitler's coalition partners thought they should bring him in (finally) but that they would steer him to their desires. It is a remark that opens conversations (hopefully), but naturally they are too extensive for imgflip or Facebook. Thanks again for the dialogue. ;^)
