It is SNOWING today, here in VEGAS!!!

My daughter is getting the same storm in flagstaff i guess, sent me pics about an hour ago.

Brrrrr..... it is SOOOO unusually cold here!
Hope your daughter is keeping warm, flagstaff is one of the few places to have true winters in Arizona... but this storm is not a typical winter storm for the southwest.

I'm actually in Richmond Va, just moved back here from Phoenix. She stayed out there for college. I do miss the southwest winter.

Richmond is going to be GORGEOUS once Spring actually arrives!

Here in Vegas it is still really cold, unusually cold... but last night seemed to be a bit warmer than the night before....
Guess the Groundhog was right about 6 more weeks of winter...

No doubt Richmond is beautiful in the spring, but I do still miss the warmth of the desert. We've been rather warm here the last week or so, but I'm sure winter has a few surprises left for us.

Ground hog said 6 more weeks of winter.... so don't put away the parkas and snowboots yet...
Go out and BBQ while you have a chance and the weather is nice... think of me out here in the Southwest FREEZING while you enjoy the fleeting warmth and juicy steak! :-)

Yep.... but for now, I need to go up to Utah, where they are in the middle of winter and deal with an issue going on in my home up there.... the sewer line under the house got clogged and backed up into the basement.
My renters down in the basement called me to tell me they had 1 & 1/2 inches of gross stuff everywhere when they woke up. :-(
This was just a day after sending a plumber out there to clear the line!
I think my insurance is going after the plumbing company for the damages.
Anyways....I now am going to lose some awesome tenents, and their income... and need to replace all the carpet, tile, wood and cabinets, as well as the beedleboard and trim on the walls.... what a project!
My son, who lives upstairs, is going to come down here to Vegas and help take care of my Mom while I am gone.
She should be out of the hospital by the end of the week! :-).... hopefully :-)

Hope your life is a bit more boring than mine.... the most excitement you get is making a front page meme, or a message from your new penpal... me! LOL

That sounds like a little too much excitement, and nasal stimulation! Sounds like you know your way around a house structure though. Its good that your son can pick up like that and go to Vegas and keep up with things there. Sounds like you have experience in these matters.

Thankfully the disaster crew has been in there tearing out carpet, tile, baseboards and have been cleaning everything with anti-microbial spray.
My son is so awesome!
He does Massage Therapy for several places, and they all are upset he will be gone, and will take him back with open arms when he gets back... and thankfully are understanding about the situation, and my Mom can not be left alone.
I haven't been back to Utah since Labor Day weekend!
Just wish it was warmer... There are few things in this life I hate... being cold, freezing cold is one of them. Utah, this time of the year, I never feel like I can warm up. My daughter works at one of the ski resorts near our home, and LOVES being wet and cold from skiing/snowboarding all day long.... and that is the exact reason I no longer ski! Cold suck the fun out of it! LOL

Yeah.... back in Kansas, I completely restored an old Victorian built in 1880...Thankfully now, everything will be done by contractors, all I have to do is pick out colors and such..... and that is the FUN part (the ONLY fun part of this).

For a flat fee of $10 a month, you can go see one movie a day, everyday, for a month in the theaters... and all it cost you is $10!
I just got it and have seen several movies already...
Peter Rabbit, Game Night, Every Day, Darkest Hour and Greatest Show on Earth.... all have been very entertaining movies...and all it cost is that one time monthly fee... not a penny more!

I sooo know the feeling with the cold, I really miss Phoenix. This winter here has really been a hard adjustment. I haven't worn flannel in in years. It makes me feel all good ol boy lol. I don't do movies much. The only times of gone in the last 15 years is some with my daughter. We saw sStar Wars when I flew her out for Christmas. I need to get out more, but I got out of the habit when it was just me and her for so long. Yeah, skiing has never been my thing, guys my size can fall down a hill fast enough, we don't need help :)
