But that's exactly the point - selective stats, you just shifted the goalposts to firearms only. Look at the old Soviet Union - just like the UK, they didn't want the menace of a people able to defend themselves - and so just as many people died, except it was by clubs, poison, knives, and axes instead. (Not according to externally reported stats for the so-called "socialist workers' paradise" of course, but that was the reality.)

The problem is is that this meme is messing with stats by saying per person which last time I checked America had many more people than either Australia or the uk, also minor fact I live in Australia Yet I never have to fear being gunned down at school, wonder why

How could you absolutely not grasp that YOU have it backwards? Per capita is THE ONLY STATISTICALLY SANE WAY TO GAUGE THIS!

Suppose you have China on the one hand, and an obscure African country on the other. The African country has 100x the per capita violence of China, but a tenth the population. So according to you, if China were only 1% as violent as the African country, THEY would be the dangerous place.

I wouldn't expect an Aussie - least of all one who didn't grasp that point - to know either that in the US your odds, as I have memed here, of dying in front of ANY rifle, not just an AR-15 like I own - are less than your odds of being struck by lightning. Government's own stats. So you may consider yourself too brainwashable and fact-illiterate not to be fooled by your media. I could fill you in on a lot more about the schools stuff, but I doubt you could handle it, so I will simply state, you should learn to question absolutely EVERYTHING you are fed.

I also seem to recall the Oz violence stats are back up to where they were before you were sheepfully stampeded into letting the government steal the people's right to self defense. Thankfully, I seem to recall not everybody down under has actually been fooled by that scam. You should not be either.
