When I first found Sabaton on YouTube I thought they was a rock band. It wasn't until I went to buy one of their CD's from a FYE store in the mall, that I realized they was a metal band. I don't know much about the different genres of music. I just hear it and like it or dislike it. I have no particular type.

Also is there a difference with power metal and heavy metal?

Whatever they are, power or heavy, Sabaton is awesome!

Well,there is a difference

Heavy Metal has a lot of lyrical variety,and is usually not as fast like other Metal subgenres!
Power Metal is mostly based around fantasy-based themes and,even though it's quite fast,it's much more melodic than other Metal subgenres!

Yeah,Sabaton kicks ass! The only problem I personally have with them is that a lot of their songs sound too similar to each other

If you're interested,from Heavy Metal,I recommend Iron Maiden,Dio,Judas Priest,Savatage,Angel Witch,Queensryche and Metal Church!
From Power Metal,I recommend Blind Guardian(my all-time favourite),Helloween,Gamma Ray,Stratovarius and Avantasia!
