LOL heavens no, but instead it's the funny creature that scared the cat three pics up! Now, Melanie's key might have gotten her a pet -boy that is! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HhXnVRX-h_o

Glad you thought so. :) I had older siblings who would get those 45rpms and the Melanie song was played constantly! I played records constantly, often going to sleep by the stereo.

If you can't tell I like music a little harder. But when I was younger I had records from E.L.O., Donna Summer and Linda Ronstadtto name a few. Then I went to bands like ACDC and Styx. Now it's Sick Puppies, Seether, Mudvayne, HellYeah, Chevelle, and the sorts. Although sometimes I do go for something a little softer.
And the artists that originally got me into music were Jim Croce and Olivia Newton-John.

Love me some ELO. Isn't Dave Grohl and a lot of his band backing up Jeff Lynne in the latest ELO tour?
2 ups
I looked around and couldn't find anything on that. Although I did see that Dave and Taylor have done some stuff here and there with Jeff Lynne like the Beatles 50th anniversary.

Sorry it took me so long, but the song is pretty, very operatic. :)

So glad you enjoyed. :-) that video spends a lot of time on the robots, which really only is the opening scene! Do you have a fav viddee for me to watch?

I like comedy What About Bob, and Jumanji (with Robin Williams), would be a couple of examples of movies I like. Or what about Uncle Buck with John Candy?

I think my fav of those three would be What About Bob. I love that kind of awkward psychological comedy. Loved the other movies as well, Robin Williams and John Candy were such greats! :).

I also like Disney movies like Bambi, Dumbo, Snow White, and the other classics too.

I liked the Invader Zim series. Especially the little GIR robot. I like a few anime films, mainly the big films by Miyazaki, the artwork is amazing. I do remember playing the Bambi album over and over. The "choir" was so dreamy. It's a particular sound from that era that's really hard to produce now. So, are you a soprano?:)

Oh and you'll love this. Somehow I ended up with a Soupy Sales album, although he'd already been taken off the air on his kids tv show.
And singing...I don't know. :)

I can hear how your earlier favorites brought you to this place :)

Well, since you enjoyed the 5th Element aria, and Melanie's singing, it made me wonder if you also had a high voice to sing along with them! :)

"Into the ocean " wa the first of their songs I listened to and is still my favorite. I love the violins on that song. Yeah, ELO is touring this summer. Denver and Houston are closest to me at 1K miles each. Would love to see them in Denver, I lived there only a few years ago...

I'm glad to hear you found favor with some of the bands I like. There's Zwan, and Velvet Revolver as well.
And I think ELO is doing two nights here in Southern California, I believe.

That's right, Jeff is opening the US tour in SF and LA in August. Then to Denver. I'd really like to see them this tour. :)

I just like that pic. It's from Silent Movie by Mel Brooks. It only had one spoken word so you wouldn't have to worry about English. :)

I really have to see that movie (once I made it through the jungle) - it must be great.
