There's a difference between a country "not being like yours" and a country that lacks clean food and water for 90% of the population, a country that is extremely poor, has rampant disease, lakes of trash everywhere, a population with low IQ .... etc.

A place like Haiti seems to keep getting worse and worse, despite the US pumping billions of dollars into it from foreign aid. Hence, it's a shithole.
