USA spends more per capita on military expenditures than the next 3 countries combined.
Makes you wonder where all those tax dollars are going, since it sure isn't going in to running public services and maintaining infrastructure.

It's going to kicking ass, and taking names!
The reality is that the US is a very predatory country. We use our military to secure our economy and political power over other countries. Usually the military is just used for posturing or intimidation but things get messy when they get attacked our the USA's people and leaders get pissed off.
If it wasn't for our military advantage over the rest of the world we would not be enjoying the same comforts in this country that we do now. People that complain about our military's success should be more appreciative that they're on the winning team.
