Thanks :) I looked at the viral memes, I think I will stick to the latest pages myself. Thing is all those anonymous memes are by redditors, they don't reply to comments, I like to make comments, kinda speaks for itself I guess lol.

Well, for me, commenting is the main pointbringer, as my comments earn more points than my memes on average. I guess it's a bit different at the top, but a lot of you remember your "roots" anyways :D

Take a look at my last 20 memes lol. I still get most of my points from commenting, and a lot of my submission ideas as well. I might hit front page now and then, I still consider it lucky if I do. Mainly because I have plenty I thought would make it that end up with under 10 upvotes.

I can see what you mean. maybe you are having a low period? I see some users getting caught in themes that earns them very low points, then later they have a poingaining period because they make a single meme that reignites the interrest in their Collection. Imgflip is too damn challenging, but we like it that way I guess :D

It's always been a rollercoaster ride for me. I never think ahead about what might do well or what the current trend is. I've done the same thing since day one, make something I think is funny and see what happens. I know reposting and what not are part of memes, but when it comes to my personal profile I know they are almost all my original creations, even if they don't have any upvotes lol.

I think a lot of my points come in late, I might submit something and have it do poorly the first couple days but eventually people find them it seems. That and I try to make funny comments, not for the points for the laughs, making somebody laugh is the best way to have them want to upvote you. The difference is making a comment for points can be like work, and it's never work when you are commenting for laughs ;)

Well I upvote anything that I like and don't notice who made them. I visit the "latest" more and more and sometimes the random memes. I had upvoted a couple of your memes already, so you do have some hits in my oppinion, but I think people in general upvote too few memes because they think "they" will get more points then. Go figure :D

That's the way to be, if something is funny I upvote it. I've never gotten in the habit of upvoting based on who made it. When I am going through the hot or latest pages I am looking for a meme to comment on. If I see something funny and no idea hits me I'll still upvote and drop some generic upvote comment. I'd rather engage the person though because to me when somebody takes the time to think up a funny comment on one of my memes. That means a lot more to me than their upvote did. I prefer the latest pages because if somebody is already on the hot pages they aren't hoping their meme gets noticed. I know I'll have time to upvote those memes later on. The memes on the latest only get so long before they fade away lol.

I'm not saying my way is the best way, it's the way I do things though. One thing Socrates told me a long time ago is that upvotes are free and you can never over upvote things. I was upvoting RPC right before he passed me because not doing so would have meant I care more about points than the laughs I have shared with the guy. No matter what anybody wants to say or think about me, the only person I have to live with is myself ;)

I'm very competitive, so I'll probably learn something about myself the day someone is surpassing me :D That said, I think I'll go live and let live, but I won't know for sure. A lot of the time I get ideas from random comments out there, so if anything other people serve as an inspiration.

That's the idea behind the whole site. To bounce ideas off each other and increase creativity. It's kinda strayed away from that recently. The old blood and the new has had some trouble mixing. The whole alt account situation has made people that have been here a long time not trust new users. And I am sure new users feel like we keep to ourselves because of it as well. Hopefully things will calm down after a while, the views on the front page are down and that should bother everybody no matter their reasons for being here.

I must be a hybrid generation, I trust noone, not even myself.
