Make sure you visit your doctor and do what he says. Most parents come around after the shock. I have two and both times my wife told me there was a shock. I couldn't imagine my life without them, though and they're in their 20's now. Good luck and congratulations.

Well enough. My mother is in a "I have nothing to say to you right now" fit, my dad had his fit but he's over it. My cousin, whom I stay with, won't let me live this down. Uses it as a point in any argument.

Please keep your head up. They were young once too and trust me just because they didn't end up pregnant doesn't mean they weren't having sex, it just means they didn't end up having a situation like yours. My son is 16 and I know that he is doing the same things I was at his age. It scares the crap out of me BUT I know that it's part of growing up.
Have you been to the doctor and heard the heartbeat yet? Is the dad trying to stay in the picture or run and hide? Not trying to be overly nosy just trying to be an ear and a friend. :-)

Sounds like you are both being very adult about the situation. This baby is going to change your life, but keep a good attitude and show the world that you are still going to make something out of your life. I sorry to hear you're going through a rough time. I've not experienced this myself, in fact, after 23 years together my wife and I have never been able to have children. Just know that every life has a purpose and your child is no different. My brother's girlfriend got pregnant when they were dating, and of course it was a big shock to our family. But we loved and accepted him and now he's 20 and just fixing to graduate Coast Guard boot camp. He was a star athlete and all state musician in high school. We all couldn't love him more or be more proud of him. He is like the son I never had. Just do the best you I can, and seek out friends and hopefully family who can help and support you. If people are judgmental toward you, try not to let it get you down. Just know they are just reacting that way because it's the only way they know how to. You'll get through this, and your child will be a great blessing to you and many others :-)

I'm a guy, so, well, I couldn't possibly begin to understand what it was like, especially at your age (though you're at least a year older than me). I hope the guy who... um, well...
