They're memes, people. They aren't works of art that took weeks to create.

I love making stuff, but never have I done so because I thought it would do better than somebody who doesn't. I was thinking of reposting some of my oc so it might get more than a few upvotes lol

It's been a long time since anything took me that long. The hours combined learning it through trial and error are more than I want to know I am sure though lol. It's most likely my lack of skill captioning some of them that really affects things. Or that I think I am funnier than I am which adds up to about the same thing ;)

I think that was long enough ago I used the add image feature here instead of toolpic, it sure looks like it. Plus I had to have been high when I thought that caption was funny! Oh well at least I know I have improved from that!

They would have been doing me a favor to downvote that back into submission lmao. I had no idea you didn't get points on old memes, shows what I know. Kinda sucks really every now and then somebody comments on something really old of mine, I figure they find it hitting the flip through buttons and some even go digging. Not that big of a deal a comment on something old will still make my day regardless, even if it makes me sad when half the profiles of people who commented back then are deleted now. I wonder if they made it that way so an alt can't give somebody a ton of points for upvoting every meme they have made?

Dude, it used to give you points no matter how far back you upvote. Before I reached a million points, Lynch and a few other memers had upvote parties to help me get to a million points faster. Lynch was the queen of upvote parties. Maybe the MODS were thinking it wasn't fair for users to upvote memes just to get them up quicker. idk...

Huh that does make sense. I remember those upvote parties and back then it seemed like that person got an amazing amount of points from those. For some reason all those real users upvoting wouldn't touch the type of points I've seen some get now every single day.... hmmmm lol.

I know once the ads started on the site, the traffic here grew quickly. The more users on the site, the quicker you can gain points.

An example is when I reached the million point mark, there were only 6 other users, including you, who had reached that milestone. It was an awesome achievement and something to strive for. It usually took several months or more to get there, but it can actually be done in only a couple months if working at it.

Took me 10 months to reach one million, another 10 months to reach 2 million and if I reach 3 million sometime in January, it'll be another 10 months.

True, more users is definitely part of it. I only needed 73,000 to first make the top 100 board when I first did. I got to 1 mil really fast, I got a lot more points back then than I do now for sure. I think I got my first 3 million points faster than it took me to go from 3 to 4 though. I blew up as a noob but over time I feel my points have slowed a lot and now I think I've plateaued or did a while back honestly.

I get points steadily just slower now. I'll have a meme feature and have it get 10 upvotes the first day. So I'll be like, oh well can't all make the front page. Then after a couple few more days it will have 30 or more, and I'll be like, wow it just took a while for people who like me to see it lmao.

That's totally cool with me though. If anything it makes me happy to think that I have some loyal people out there that at least check my stuff out every couple days. I truly believe if I make front page my small group of fans all just happened to be online at the same time lol!

I also believe that in the beginning that Invicta and John supported me so much I was kinda getting some of their fans upvotes on mine. I know my points took a hit when they left but it was nothing compared to the loss of the amount of laughs I got to have in a day...

I'm so streaky it sin't even funny. lol. I will have about two months of nothing. I might get like 10,000 points in a week or two for a couple months, then all of a sudden I'll have about a month where I'm getting 40,000-60,000 points in a week. I'm not really sure who might be a fan of my memes other than a few of the top users. I know you claim to like mine (maybe you upvote out of pitty lol), but I've never had a user say they really like my memes with the exception of a meme here and there. You and Dash upvote most of my memes that I know of. lol

I'm going to get back to making memes that don't have to do with the drama that's going on here. I think I'm done with all that now. I think it's taken away from my funny memes. I used to do a lot of political memes, but I've cut back a lot on those a while ago.

I have been in a dry spell for a while it seems. I don't do a very good job at monitoring stuff I just get a surprise now and then and see my name on the 7 day board lol. I do know I can get them up if I comment a ton. I have comments get more upvotes than a lot of my memes do lol.

I think you have more fans than you think, and definitely more top user respect than anybody else I can think of. I try to give most of my upvotes out in the latest stream. That way I tend to look at the meme before who made it and I feel I am more fair about it that way. You make me laugh when I see yours and I'm not just saying that.

I really don't like all this drama. I really wanted to stay out of things but my past encounter with somebody made that near impossible recently. I just want to make my crazy memes and comments and let everybody else do whatever they want. Certain things can only be ignored so long I guess. I really wish trusting people on here hadn't gotten so damn hard. We get accused of only interacting with other top users but I don't think people understand why it can look that way. They don't see the 20 "new" users we talked to before that turned out not to be who we thought they were. Of course we like to meme with each other, we know who we are talking to when we do. I am always happy to meet new people on here, I just like it when they are actually new.

I don't have any problem with a meme that is political in nature. I am not a fan of propaganda memes though. People have been making fun of politics since they began. SNL wouldn't be around anymore if not for political satire. I think it's when a meme is used to try and change somebodies mind or infuriate people who disagree with you that things turn away from being funny. Whatever side you are on if you are making a meme for laughs then by all means make it ya know. That's how I personally feel about it. I just don't think too much about what type of memes others are making. If it's funny I upvote it, anything else I keep scrolling and don't let bother me. Leaving even a negative comment gives such memes too much attention imo.

I went from 0 points to 9 million in a year and a half. Now look at my points over the last 3 months lol. Like 200.000

blah points lol, I rocketed up to 1 million so fast I thought I was the shit, the last million I got took so long 73 people got accused of sexual misconduct while it happened hahaha I'm such an ass :P

I was just thinking about those the other day!!! So much fun, but no one needs them now lol. I left for a few months and came back and there are users I had never heard of like a million points ahead of me. lol it took me 2 years to get where they are in 2 months!!! It's crazy!!!
Kudos to them though!!! I just don't have the time I used to have. :-(
