do know how to get 3 submission (you stay off line for a few week) but somehow im using 3 submissions ever since the twilight meme (dont know when i made that)

Depends on averages. Even now, with nearly two million points, if I don't use all three on a regular basis I find sometimes I'll be down to two. But if I use those two then usually the next day I'll have three again.

i posted three a day for a long time, but have been busy at work this month so my submissions are down. now if i'm allowed 2 and submit 2, it seems to go back to 3 the next day.

My guess is they are based on the amount of points you get. If you suddenly make three memes, the third meme might not be so fun so you fall behind in points which Means you could get 2-3 memes on and off...

this can include TOS violations, images being flagged as such or other offenses.

I jumped up to three memes after almost a years time in here, and only for one day, despite me using all three. That means trolls must have downvoted me from the beginning and just missed me that one day??? Not very realistic, then during the Down with downvotes weekend I trolled against downvotes a lot and got even more memes downvoted back to submitted status, then suddenly out of nowwhere I get these two days with 3 memes. I think maybe enough downvotes gives you extra memes which would be a fair fix to the downvoting thing. Perhaps we can perform some experiments to doublecheck if that might be the case :D

Right now, you've got a 5% non-feature rate. How are your stats on comments? do a lot of your comments get downvoted to being a "bad Comment or reply"? You'd know that was the case if you got a lot of long "time-outs" ("You've been commenting a lot and need to improve your status in the community" type of message if you had)

I'd say that you're not submitting the two a day on a frequent enough basis, and that may be affecting the number of submissions. Two of my friends here don't post often, but one, that has very few posts, only has two submissions a day. She only posts a few times a month, lately, but she's not worried. Trolls try to knock her down, even then, but it doesn't happen. The other, my cousin, hasn't posted in a while. Surprised, because it's been a while since he did. But he's always had the three a day since he qualified. Mind you, it was like his 3rd or 4th post that ended up on page one.

I allways post two a day (three when I get them), except for weekends.
I'm rarely bothered by "you are commenting a lot" though last week I had some 145 second ones which was the week after DWD.

145 isn't a time out, It's pretty normal on how many times you try commenting on someone else's meme. As for 4 submissions a day? I don't think the imgflip servers could handle it if we tried

I comment on a lot of memes, and pretty fast, so I get stuck in those small waiting sessions all the time. Never had a real time out I guess...

apparently. One reason why Imgflip doesn't post all of the methods they use. IIRC, I didn't get bumped up to three submissions until I had 12K. By the same token, they can cut your daily submissions back to two regardless of how many points you have. I had well over 100K on my previous account, and was cut back with no reason given. One reason why I dropped that account. I'm taking a break from posting now, busy with other things and came back too soon after my last break. I don't know If I'll be put back to 2 a day again, or for how long. Last break I took, I was back to 3 after only a day or two
