Baha! Nice reply. I think a better caption would have been, "What if I told you that this life is our one chance to accept the grace of God and escape the punishment of hell by believing that His Son Jesus paid the price for our sin(s) and to then live a life of thanks to Him before we go to be with Him forever.

Matthew 22:37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

The Bible says that if you do not love you don't know God, how can someone go to Heaven when he doesn't know him? therefore people will be cast out of the city. Of course it is by Jesus' final sacrifice at the cross that we are forgiven and counted as righteous but we shouldn't live like the devil either or take God's grace to practice wickedness..."shall we do evil/sin that grace may abound, God forbid"

Faith in Jesus = knowing Him. How can you have faith in someone you don't know? Anyone who has faith in Jesus has been filled with the Spirit and no longer wants to sin. They have a new nature. Yet the Bible and experience tells us that sin still dwells in our flesh and believers sometimes fail to keep the law (1 John 1:8, Romans Ch 7). It is Jesus blood and our faith in Him that makes us righteous, not our law keeping. The Bible is super clear on that. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the WORD (not works) of our testimony. Good works come as natural consequence of the new Spirit we are given but in no way make us righteous. Having believed we have been imputed with righteousness. Forever.

Where did I say we earn God's righteousness by keeping laws or by doing good works? Jesus words are "if you love me keep my commandments" are you saying that if someone has Faith in Jesus as the Son of God and live like the devil still goes to Heaven? Because those people will not inhheir the Kingdom of God...the Bible makes if clear even demons believe in God and they tremble, is that true faith? I know many people who say they know Jesus is real and they live like the devil, some are prostitus, drug addicts, liars, thieves, drunkards etc...do they LOVE Jesus or their sin? For if they would really love Jesus they would keep his commandments and ditch their sin...im not saying either that believes in Christ are perfect but if they are struggling with sin they confess and get up and do it no more fellowship with his Spirit... And the Bible says that if you return to keep on sinning you are clearly coming back to the old ways and lying to yourself and not being repentant but disobedient.

You asked, "Are you saying that if someone has faith in Jesus as the Son of God and lives like the devil that he still goes to heaven?" No, what I am saying is what I said above. David was an adulterer and a murderer (a transgressor of the commandments), and He was described as a man after God's own heart. Abraham was a liar (a transgressor of the commandments) and God promised Him he would be the father of many nations and was declared righteous by God because of his faith. Moses was a murderer (a transgressor of the commandments) yet God chose him to lead His people out of slavery. Are you getting the picture. Your emphasis is on man not sinning and keeping the commandments, mine is on the sinless One who took away our sin and declares those who believe to be righteous. The faith I am talking about is not a mental acknowledgement that Jesus exists (the one that demons have). The faith that I am talking about is a faith that believes on Jesus for righteousness. Anyone who willing PRACTICES sin does not have faith in Jesus because the new nature does not want to sin (though through the flesh it often does sin, yet nit willingly). Friend, if you think that you don't continue to sin, you are deceiving yourself. 1 John 1:8 says, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." You may not be a murderer like Moses, but are you guilty of pride, selfishness, bitterness, judgmentalism, hypocrisy, greed, lustful thoughts, anger etc? Religion (in the bad sense of the word) focusses on what man does for God, a relationship of faith focusses on what God has done for man. The first leads to pride or guilt but the later always leads to praise and thankfulness to God.

I am in favor of your message and truth but the way you made it seem like at the beginning was as if you are in favor if easy believism which the Bible condemns. Are you in favor of once saved always saved?

Great having these discussions. The Lord was bought me through much and is continuing to show me just how much mixture there is in a lot of today’s messages of the ‘gosoel’. The word ‘gospel’ actually means good news although the way most present it, it sounds like anything but good news. Typically it says (without being so direct) yes, through Jesus your sins are forgiven, but to maintain your salvation you had better not slip up or he will cast you out. That is utter nonsense and is not good news at all. It is a burden that no one can carry. He promises us that He who began a good work in us will complete it. That He will never leave us or forsake us. That He will by no means cast us out. He does warn many times that if the Jews continue to lean on their lineage or good works for salvation that they will be cut off (but he can also graft them back in) but this message is consistent with the true gospel, that salvation comes by faith in Jesus alone. The old system is gone, the new has begun. Once a son, always a son. There are good sons and there are bad sons, but they are sons (re the prodigal son). Paul’s message of grace was so outrageous and comprehensive and secure that many thought that he was actually teaching that people should willingly PRACTICE sinning because of grace. That too is utter nonsense. How can a believer have such a mind? The answer is, they can’t. As outlandish as the gospel is, it is true. When God imputes righteousness to you, it is forever. This is AMAZING grace. The Bible says that the gifts and the calling of God is without repentance I.e. He doesn’t change His mind). I’m so thankful this is true, unlike humans who often give gifts or withhold them based on merit, God gives because He is love. The good news is good news. His promise of eternal security and rest is for eternity. Let’s share the good news!

Well that's most Christians mentality today they live in wilful sin...if a Christian goes back into his sin he is in danger of judgment as the scriptures say. Even grudging against one another a person can fall into condemnation mentioned in the book of James...many people live in wilful sin and they still think they are righteous through Christ...they are simply deceiving themselves...yes the Gospel is good news that has never changed but the Bible does warn us not to live in intentional sin and not to be lukewarm for the Lord could spit you out of his body...this is found in Revelation. God bless you.

Sorry, but gotta disagree with you about condemnation. The Bible is super clear that believers do not come under condemnation from God: "Therefore the is now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Rom 8:1). And believers do not come under judgment. If they did, what was the cross all about? Either Jesus took upon Himself the judgment due us or He didn't. Did He die in vain? If God passed judgment on believers He would be unjust. Seems you're a little confused about the message of the gospel. I encourage you to listen to some solid gospel teaching (there is so much bad teaching in the body of Christ). A great teacher that is revealing the true message of the gospel is Andrew Farley. Click on his FB page and have a listen to his messages of truth. https://www.facebook.com/DrAndrewFarley/

They're not in Christ Jesus if they are in willful sin silly...""Thee is no condemnation to those who are of Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit" why do you cut that from the whole verse...you're not dealing truthful but deceiving.
0 ups, 7y
Thanks for the accusation of being 'deceiving' but the second part of the verse is just stating the blatantly obvious, that those who are in Christ walk after the Spirit and not the flesh. It doesn't say that those in Christ Jesus will never walk in the flesh, rather it conveys the message that they don't set their minds on PRACTICING walking in the flesh. We've already been over this. Read over what I've already said above re David, Abraham and Moses. Your view of God is far too small and stingy. It needs a revelation of the height, width, length and depth of Hs love.

It is written "unless you repent you shall all likewise perish" ...Jesus came to save that which was lost...I came NOT to call the righteous BUT sinners to repentance!!!

Hebrews 12:14-17 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright."

1 John 3:23 "And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment."

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
