'Hee Haw' was a country humor/music show that ran for about 25 years in syndication. I wasn't a country music fan but saw a lot of episodes because my father controlled what we watched for the most part and we watched that - despite he himself not being a country music fan. It wasn't bad, some of the jokes were quite funny and to this day I can repeat some lines from the show. :) Grandpa Jones' 'what's for supper!' sketch was a recurring one. But the food he repeated all sounded good.

Now that you said the name, I do know it was an older show and have heard of it. But, like you... I never had control over the remote and the image didn't ring a bell to me.

I still remember that by heart. :) As I told DeedsterDoo elsewhere on this thread I grew up with the show because my dad controlled the TV set when I was a little kid and always watched the show though he really wasn't a music fan. Dang, now I'm going to have that song in my head all day. :D

My pa is a habitual TV watcher; he doesn't change his viewing habits much. The alternative at that hour was probably Lawrence Welk. :D

You're right. That was pretty much the choices at that time.

It was on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. Another they've been re-showing on the Decades channel. Goldie Hawn, Lily Tomlin, Arte Johnson, a bunch of other comics came out of it. Actually quite funny though it makes me feel dated sometimes. ;D

I used to watch laugh in. I have a memory of windows and each actor in one? Or was that another show?

That was the joke wall. Usually at the end of the program. Watching it nowadays I realize I remember a lot of the actors and often the characters they play, and I've realized that I must've been watching when I was 3, 4, and 5 years old, so it's TV that made an impact on me. ;P

Yeah, if you can find a way to view it again (do they have Decades up there?) I'd recommend it. I'm surprised how well it has held up. :)
