When Canadians criticize America's gun laws. And I remind myself...yeah, with SIX TIMES the gun deaths than my neighbor, maybe the interpretation of the 2nd amendment is antiquated.
Well the population of Canada is about 36 million, the population of the U.S. is over 320 million so...the math doesn't work in favor of your statement.

plus there is a certain minority (Males)in the usa at 6% that does 80% of the gun crimes.

A reasonable reply. But that ratio is based on equal populations -- if both countries had 36M or both had 320M. So, the math truly is depressing for America.
The vast majority committed by felons, career criminals etc. So the gov't has dropped the ball. I don't see how taking rights from the law abiding due to the actions of criminals is going to help.
