It's a long story, but she contracted Lyme disease when she was 7, but didn't get it diagnosed until 37 though doctors over the years disorganised her with numerous other "diseases", but never put symptoms together to find a root cause. We got so frustrated with western medicine that we finally went to a traditional Chinese medicine/homeopathy/acupuncture doctor who immediately recognized it as Lyme and has finally been able to help improve her health somewhat. But Lyme is a nasty bug and does irreparable damage to the immune and neurological systems. She deals with almost constant pain, and sometimes it hurts for me to even touch her. She has bad days and not as bad days. Anyway, it obviously limits her desire for sex which is difficult on us both. But for better or worse, in sickness and in health. :) She's a trooper though and still teaches full time.
