Finally have my Bronco pic on my kindle. And Jessica is off for now I guess.

I like those ones, I had a silver Hot Wheels version when I was a kid. You don't see too many like that any more.

78 and 79 are the only body styles for that run. 78 was the first year when they went to a full size truck. They were competing with the Blazer that when to full size. The straight front axle is desirable for the off-road crowd. They stopped making them in 80. The biggest thing on mine is the tailgate has no rust at all. The back window motor quit a long time ago for the previous owner. It never had a chance to get water in it. But the Ford rust is everywhere else.lol

Well that's the thing with cars and trucks, given enough time rust can get any of them. It's cool you've got one that's worth preserving. We had a couple of those 'Bronco 2's' as yard vehicles at the wreckers. I was always afraid I'd roll one. I did have a habit of driving everything agressivly. Lol a couple of Dodge Shadows I wrecked driven just a few hundred feet! Those Chrysler 2.2 engines had a low oil pan, and I'd go off-roading and smash them in rocks, then keep driving until the oil all came out and they seized. I did that at least three times.

That pic of mine was right after I took it off road. Nothing to crazy, almost got it stuck near some backwater near the river. I thought I was going to have to get out and try the new wench on it. It's a blast to drive. The turning radius is unreal. I'm just waiting for the snow now.

Oh I bet that's fun. My friend Jay from thecwteckers used to have a couple of Suzuki Sidekicks, and we used to go goof around in the river until the cops put the kybosh on it. Those little things look like toys but they can take a real beating.

My friend had one, they were like the first side by side. Lol. The place I went to is a nature persevere. But there are trails that access farm land. Your ok if you stay on the trails. They don't want you cutting through the fields. I would do that, I know some farmers. That's their livelihood.

Yeah that's totally understandable. We'd get in from a farm too. The farmer was ok with it, but his land went down to the river so the cops asked him not to let people in any more. I don't think the fishermen or guys in canoes liked it too much when we'd drive by them and wave.

My Bronco is a BMF. Someday it's going to look like new. Then it won't see mud. Lol. Right now it's a mudding machine.

Well, I cover my Ford side with a Bronco for off reading. A Mercury convertible for stylin' and profilin'. A F250 for hauling. And 2013 Mustang GT for tearing up the road. So my bases are covered. We have 6 vehicles between the two of us. Lol

New thread. I remember reading that when you were chatting with Jessica about the fishermen and canoers. When I did my off road trip, I passed a couple of guys that were exploring in a newer truck. They stopped me to say nice truck with a smile. They knew I was going to do something. The day I did it, I took off work to see the dentist. So my wife didn't go because she was working. I should go down this weekend with her.

Yeah I think I'd say nicectruck with a smile if I saw you too.
