Government spending has absolutely nothing to do with taxes. The government decides what it is going to spend regardless of taxes. It always spends way more than what is taken in from taxes, and to make ends meet, it simply borrows money (primarily from China). So until the spending is actually tied to the income, I will happily keep more of my money and give less to this government that has no fiscal controls whatsoever. Just my 2 cents.
