Not atheism, but perhaps dogmatic antitheism, since to be an atheist is simply to not be convinced of god's existence, while antithesism is the actual belief that religion is inherently bad. Alhough such random acts of violence, whether religious or not, are typically associated with mental illness, which is more likely to be a prominent factor in some cases.
