As the son of two vets, I have to object to this meme

Euthanasia (of animals, at least) is almost always only done when letting the animal stay alive would only prolong their suffering. It is quick, painless, and very humane. It is a very sad experience for all involved still, but it would be animal cruelty to allow their suffering to continue. Some people abuse the system (some people brought their dog to my parents' to be euthanized for a survivable leg injury), but I think most vets have the sense to know when this happens and stop it (the dog with the leg injury I mentioned was not euthanized and became one of our family pets).

As for human euthanasia, is that even a thing?

They're killing people in droves in Europe; especially the mental handicapped and elderly, saying they would have no quality of life and therefore no worth.

The point of the meme is a liberal saying that life has inherent worth in one sentence (like saying black lives matter) and then in the next sentence being pro euthanasia, which implies that life only has value if it's productive or not a burden on others.
It started with the "right to die" movement and is being pushed by some groups over here

it has to be their choice. only 2 countries is it assist an two self administered as still illegal for doctors to do it. Oregon was the first US state to legalise assisted suicide in 1997 for terminally ill patients, who can request a lethal prescription. Since then Washington and Vermont have followed.

I guess if it's the choice of the people who get it done to themselves it's fine.

I personally disagree with the choice due to mental illness. My mother spent over 10 years nursing her husband with dementia and towards the end he was skeletal. She has decided if this happens to her she will choose assisted

Where I live we have the right to die which I think is a good thing. I don’t want to be kept alive if that means I have to be in the icu with a feeding tube and a respirator. Not being able talk lying in bed with no hope of getting better. I think I rather say my good byes and take a bottle of pills.
