Allow me to clarify...
Based upon 22 years in the Marine Corps and 13 years in the corporate/government workforce, I've met plenty of people that thought that they were "smart" just because they were "educated". Usually, the more education a person has, however, the less common sense (leadership ability) that they have.
In the Marines, I would trust a Corporal's leadership abilities over a Harvard educated officer.
In the work world, I am very wary of someone if they mention their Masters degree with the first five minutes of our meeting.
Of course "Lack of intelligence does not imply leadership skills." I never said that...you inferred it.
Your original meme implies that IQ alone would make a great leader, rather than the a candidates ability to articulate their positions, think on their feet, and crush their opponents. I highly doubt it.
