That sucks, my first house the neighbor next to me had a little yappy dog. Sat in the second story window and yapped at every f'n thing. What was worse, our houses were at angles like a pie shape acting as a megaphone. Glad I moved to the country. Sidenote about living where I am. Heard a bald eagle screech Sunday morning. It was pretty cool. We see they every once in a while. I'll post some pic one of these days.

I actually had trouble sleeping when I moved here. After 26 years in a big city, the crickets drove me nuts. I could sleep through car horns, buses, sirens, car stereos, arguing on the street, even the odd gunshot/taxi backfire/M80 firecracker, trains, and highway droning, but the crickets were a problem.

You might need to sleep with the TV on or something. I like crickets and frogs where I am. But not right next to my window, which happens sometimes. Once we start sleeping on the second floor, it would be better. Waiting to sell our old house before we buy a new bed. No need to move sh!t all over the place. We are keeping the old bed on the first floor for guests.

Might as well keep it now if you can use it. I don't like to move stuff more than once either.
The crickets were only an issue for the first month. That was 17 years ago so I'm all accustomed to the noises. Actually at our house now I can hear both the highway and the trains. Doesn't bother me.

I get to here barges. Sometimes they blow there horn, which is to f'n loud. I think they do it because of fishermen in there boats being stupid. I definitely need to show you pics. We are very fortunate to have the house we got.
