Serious topic for my family full of vets, they should be looking down...

It's very disgusting these morons are doing this! I feel they should get the boot up their butt! Sad!

My father is Vietnam vet, and he has always loved football. But now if he starts a game and the players kneel he turns it off. And that is saying a lot ya know, he loves football but has always loved his country more. All the stuff he went through, being spit on by hippies at the airport when he finally got home and called a baby killer. Just a time in our country when we failed to acknowledge our vets or support them. I would hate to see our country revert back to that!

I feel the same as your das and would do the same. I feel we are stepping back and not ahead.

I get that they have a legitimate issue, they are simply choosing a poor way to communicate that. I believe anybody should have the right to protest something. I just wish that meant they thought more about how to do so, in a way that wouldn't offend every vet and person that loves a vet. They are all rich, and some football players do build rec centers for children or work with charities. With their type of money there are a lot of ways to express your opinion and have it heard. You don't have to ruin football for everybody by offending the people that have been protecting their right to free speech with their lives. It has nothing to do with what they are protesting to me. The way they are doing it is what I have a problem with and that is all I have a problem with ;)

My brother was a Vietnam Vet, We always had a love for any sport that involved a ball! And was raised to respect Our Country and Our Elders! We started our days then at School with the pledge of allegiance! The men and women who lived through WW2 were the Greatest of generations! Your Fathers Service is Appreciated my Friend :)
