Problem user, troll, all of the above. He'd complain if you reposted a meme from somewhere, but reposted stuff all the time. Then when he had a theme he'd blow up at people who participated. I banned him from the short lived Theme Week Meme Stream. It was so bad that even Dash and Tammy went after him a bit. I went after him big time. If you ever see someone mock "Fruit Week" or "Cartoon Logic Week" that would be why.

"You're fruit also has a carrot with it, that's not a fruit. Delete this meme." etc

Then after he burned every bridge on imgflip he tried to self promote Cartoon Logic Week. All but 1 meme was mocking his stupid ass.

I could go on all night about him. Let me know if you want me to...LOL

You were right about 123Guy, but I replied to GHMM about 123Guy on a thread about Jefftims. Then there's that other Jeffrey you guys might not know about.

I deleted my top of page one meme promoting that week.

Oh, and he would go bat sh!t crazy if you capitalized it 123guy. It's funny because the tags automatically make it lowercase. He would go after users who didn't spell it right.

No i just felt sorta of weird about sending someone off to oblivion. Not that you did anything bad by doing so. It's just me being weird me i guess. Lol i don't know what ghostofchurch is talkng about but i'm still kind of a noob. I noticed jefftims had no creations and no comments listed and yet 420+ points. Somebody thought it was a mod and i guess they figured letting himself keep the points despite deletions? I dunno. It seems odd but wuh do i no?

I hadn't really analyzed the list at all, just knew the minimum points was just over 420,000. I think they need a bigger list though...

Jefftims had zero submissions and zero comments but was like 66 when I hit the top 100. I've been waiting for him to drop out forever, we had a several form top 100'ers above him delete their accounts, so it kept him around longer.

Well he didn't make them delete their accounts. I don't undetstand the "cheaters" part if it's serious.

He's on the leaderboard with no memes, no comments, nothing to upvote. MemesterMemesterson and I have both watched him live at separate times cheating. I won't give the details how he did it, but it takes serious and pointless dedication.

And nothing to downvote or flag. Maybe he was just...really sensitive. Lol Not sure i even wanna know how he got points. Just curious though...did he *ever* have memes and/or comments?

Not that I'm aware of. None since June 20, 2016.

I feel most power users and lots of regular users understand how the points work. I feel I've probably figured how imgflip works behind the scenes better than anyone. I was the first to figure out how to see unsubmitted memes, and I had it down to a science (unless the usual mod took the day off) when to submit custom templates (before they changed it and made it much more random) down to a science and could 95% guarantee getting a custom meme featured in an hour and 10 minutes, meaning it'd be at the top of the latest pages, when so many customs would come out there'd be 23 pages, but I'd always be on page 1, or top of 2 at the worst.

That being said, Memester figured out how Jeff was doing it, I tested and validating how he was doing it and refreshed the Top 100 page at exactly the right time to see his points going up using the method Memester figured out. There's only way to do what he did as quick as he was doing it, you'll just have to trust me when I say it was cheating. If you don't trust me, doesn't hurt my feelings any. Without knowing all of the facts I can understand why it may be hard to accept.

On the 1% percent chance it wasn't cheating, there would be absolutely no reason or point to what he was doing at all. Except for possibly influencing how things displayed on the site, which would be just as disingenuous as cheating.

I have no reason to doubt you. I learned a couple of tricks so far by way of being told more or less (commenting in comment memes and seeing well at least submitted memes waiting to feature). Lol you don't even have "memes" as a taforbt this meme. Just "forrest gump". I though tags esp the colored/popular ones (cats dogs animals funny memes gifs) help. Not that i always bother maxing out tag help. Lol

I don't know that tags truly help. The biggest thing I see tags do is tie theme weeks together or if you're making a tribute to someone including their name so all of their tributes show up in a single search/click. Using Cats/Dogs/Animals has never helped me. I feel the mods should be the only to use to be able to add the funny tag. Don't we all think our own memes are funny? Aren't around 80% of memes made to be funny? That's one you'll never see me use. I let the community decide what's funny but upvoting the good ones, myself included.

I don't like people promoting their own memes on my memes unless they've earned by having conversations with me and lots of interactions, even then I think it should be sparingly and more for special memes.

On the other hand, if anyone wants to promote a hilarious meme by a new or not so well known user I don't mind those being linked to from my memes. I'll usually pass those links on others who I know feel the same way and will help to promote that meme.

Well i figure tags aren,t likely to hurt and the colored ones are prettier than gray (though half are the same shade of orange!). I hate when ppl false tag. And i'm not super strict. If this situation came up i'd be Okay a dragon is an animal...but not a cat dog gif! Lol Some ppl are shameless false taggers and i'll dv that crap. "I don't like people promoting...that meme." Ya i'm good with all that.

I put the most random ass tags on a lot of my memes. They're often part of the joke and sometimes I think they end up being funnier than my actual meme...lol

I admit I was once tempted to go with "astrophysics". Lol I could take a joke to a point but i talked to a user who was just a jerk cheater with tags. I mean as far as getting votes it seems more likely angry downvol's if some pro or anti trump meme shows up under cats and it's not say a Grumpy cat (which l'd be okay with at least GC is a cat and an animal lol). :D

I suppose if you wanted to prevent the NSFW tag you "Grabbing Cats" on an anti-Trump meme, lol. Otherwise I think the tags just don't make sense like you say.

As long as the random tags are trying to be funny I'm fine with it. Like when Sewmyeyesshut tagged one of his memes with "Memester is a commie" (inside joke). I won't downvote for adding cats or animals to memes as a means of flailing around for an extra upvote or two, but there's a chance I won't necessarily respect that user as much anymore, especially if it's habitual.

This is all pretty interesting! It's a lot to take in but I'm enjoying hearing all this.

It looks like someone above him in the top 100 disappeared because jefftims is back at 100 and the users that were near him are still there and his score seems the same as it was right before he got pushed out.
