Awesome! Great to see someone honoring the person who ACTUALLY discovered America!

Columbus landed in the west indies.

Very USA-centric of you to think that "America" refers solely to the land owned by the USA instead of the entirety of the two American continents (North and South America), which it can and does refer to.

Could you please retake fourth grade geography now.

What makes you think I am talking about Columbus? Also, The native people of Canada wouldn't agree with you. The term "America" wouldn't apply to Canada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, or Belize; according to the people of Canada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, and Belize respectively. Also, your last sentence ends with the wrong punctuation. Also, West Indies should be capitalized. You should be retaking second grade grammar. Also, I am talking about the Viking that this meme is about, not Columbus, both of which landed in countries, Canada and the Bahamas respectively, that wouldn't refer to their own country as America.

Countries didn't exist back then. I suppose one should technically refer to it as "the Americas" or "the New World", but most people do say "America", as it is easier.

To be fully honest, America wasn't discovered, it was made (by colonization, revolution, etc).

Thank you for pointing out my punctuation error. I will remember this next time I have an argument.

Yeah, I was gonna say that too. "Canada" and "United States" didn't exist back then. What was discovered and explored in the Western Hemisphere became known as "America" after Amerigo Vespucci, who was the first to chart that part of the world.
