One Does Not Simply

I don't mind faith, as long as people aren't assholes about their beliefs. What I have a problem with is organized religion because it always causes trouble.

I was a Christian in my youth. Then I read the Bible rather then relying on the selected verses the Preachers and Pastors quoted. That cured me of Christianity real fast. The god of the Bible is an insecure, megalomaniacal. homicidal tyrant.

Agreed, some atheists say the most effective way to debunk the Bible is to read it; but if cult followers are taught to worship it and twist it around they often do.

I'm guessing you're speaking of the wars in the Old Testament?

Some of the worst is in the old testament but there are major problems with new including divide and rule in Matthew 10:34-7 or Paul telling workers to obey without developing thinking skills.

In the O.T. God had to keep bringing his people back to him, as for the rest of that I've never heard of it.
