IT DOESN'T HURT WHEN YOUR OPPONENT MAKES SURE YOU WIN | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
When they finally got a progressive candidate that represented the values of the Democratic Party for the first time in decades, the DNC sabotaged him at every turn.

I would have supported Bernie with the same zeal as Hillary. Anybody but the Orange Trumpuss. The key for us going forward is not to demand purity. Straight ticket. Go Blue!!

The DNC screwed that up. Until they start promoting actual progressives instead of GOP lite, the party will not win the house, the senate, the executive office, which kills their chances at the polls. People voted for Trump because they looked at the option of the two major candidates and decided that they were cut from the same cloth. It was the year of the outsider, and Hillary was considered too much of an insider.

What type of lasting legacy did this former Walmart board-member leave Arkansas? Because she was nothing more than propped up by the DNC, her New York senate record is too small. After 2 terms as first lady with a "progressive" governor, 25 years later, Arkansas ranks #48 in standard of life. Hell, Romney left a better legacy in Massachusetts which is ranked number 1. (https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/arkansas)

Bernie wasn't the Governor of the state of Vermont (though he did try for that office) Vermont ranks # 10 in the same ranking article (https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/vermont) Still, Burlington is often in one of the top cities to live in the U.S. One reason is because of standards set by Bernie in the 1980's.

Also, let's look at the matter of trust. The left didn't trust politicians because of the 8 years of the GW Bush administration. The right didn't trust politicians after 8 years of Obama and the 8 years of Clinton. They sure as hell didn't trust Hillary. They were on her ass the moment Bill ran for office (remember the head band controversy?) How trustworthy was she? Donald Trump ranked above her on that, and that's how voters vote. She was the least trusted candidate of everyone that took the plunge last year, regardless of party. Interestingly enough, Bernie was the most trusted candidate during his run. DWS's manipulations are felt even after the judge dismissed the case last month. I understand an appeal on that decision has been filed.

As long as the DNC props up Republican candidates for office, I may as well vote Republican.

We wear the same uniforms. However, I respectfully disagree. Clinton left office riding high and without a constitutional limit.. he would likely be President today. GW = clusterf**k. President Obama was a good president, not quite far left enough for me, but, he is an honest man who did his best. Don't buy into the right wing talking points that have poisoned our progressive discourse. People voted for trumpuss for only 2 reasons: They are racist or they value burning evil liberals more than they value their country. It simply boils down to that. There are minor deviations.. but, essentially, that is it. Hence the, "we won, get over it" mantra. Many of them know what a piece of shit trumpuss is, but they hate what Rush and Hanity has told them liberals are more. DWS = idiot. point taken. The polls did not reflect Trump as more trustworthy. Please cite this. I have seen none from legit polling orgs that indicate this. Hillary had been vilified, maligned, and lied about for 30 years. She had been investigated for YEARS, she never took the 5th and was never charged or indicted. her judgement at times was off, but, so is everybody's. Hillary would have been a good president, much better than the orange trumpuss, of this, there can be very little reasonable debate. Hillary lost because of 4 major issues. Comey's October surprise notifying congress of the "new" (they were not) emails on A Weiners PC.. Russian support of trumpuss. ( We are still learning more and more about how pervasive that was) The constant nonsense investigations into OHMYGHAZI.. and but but but her emails. Finally, she thought she had it locked and let up at the end. Few visits to the blue wall states and a complete shut down of campaign adds in these markets. Trumpuss voters are a minority.. they cobbled together enough in the margins, with the aid of all of the issues above to win. Don't get me wrong brother, I wanted the ACA to be universal healthcare, like Bernie is championing. I wanted Warren to run and win. I wanted a tough non pussified war room like Bill Clinton had. James Carvel comes to mind. But, we lost, now we have to sweep 2018 and cut the trumpuss reign of utter disgrace short. 2020 I hope we choose Warren/Gabbard for the ticket. We need that kind of tough. These ladies can brawl. And please, don't ever vote for a republican. We must move away from zero, nihilist / zero sum crazy does not do this. Republicans only have wedge issues.

You are correct that the GOP have only wedge issues. Since today's Democratic Party is nothing more than GOP lite, they don't need to tackle real issues. Look at how well their ACA repeal and replace effort has worked. It's hard to find the polls I viewed last year when I was a chief contributor on a left wing site. Most of the online material I used through the primaries are missing. The best I can find is this Quinnipac poll: it's almost as though Sanders never existed. https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=2324 They were pretty close on calculating the Trump/ Clinton match up. they predicted Clinton would get 44% of the popular vote against Trump getting 43%. (error of +/- 2.7%) That should have been her clue to go after the electoral college votes, but, even with 48% of the popular vote to Trump's 46%. The same poll factored in a match-up between Sanders and Trump. That showed a tie, but also added in a factor if Bloomberg ran a third party ticket. Without that three-way match, Sanders would have trounced Trump 48% to 42%. Their polls, it seems, turn out to be pretty accurate. Why were Trump and Hillary so close? because they were seen as two sides of the same coin. But a quarter century of Hillary Bashing could never get her in the White House. She never did anything noteworthy other than being married to a successful politico. Sure, she was in the senate, but what did she DO there. Name one bit of grand legislation that she pushed through? She got a couple post offices named. Bernie, OTOH, rolled up his sleeves and went to work. Rolling Stone called him the Amendment King back in 2005. In the Senate, from 2007 - 2015, he had 39 amendments pass on bills. Hillary, from 2001-2009, had none. Possibly the difference between book learning and practical experience. Bernie has held a pretty even keel in his years of political activism, both before and since being elected. Hillary was a Goldwater Girl who also stumped for Nixon in 1960. She joined the cadre of Republicans that were leaving the party because the conservative Democrats of the deep south were leaving the party and, eventually, hooked up with the GOP.
